December, 2004
Hard to believe it's only been over a year since Ainsley was born. It was packed full of enough trauma
to last 10 years! Anyway I wanted to get into the mindset that I'm going to write a entry at least once a week so we can all
keep up on Ainsley's progress. Also, Ainsley will have something to look back on when she gets older.
The Holiday was wonderful and Ainsley scored lots of gifts from mom, dad, grandmas and grandpas and aunts
and uncles! She is really starting to take an interest in her toys so we know we are moving in the right direction.
Food is still her main interest, and with her molars coming in she can't stick enough things in her mouth to help with the
discomfort.
Some new things Ainsley is doing is grabbing for faces (she especially likes noses) and eating her feet.
She is doing real well at sitting independently and reaching for toys above her head. She is getting a bit better at
reaching across her body for toys and we are still working at getting her to get comfortable with being on her tummy and hands
and knees. It's amazing to look back and see the progress in just the past 3 months and it gives lots of hope for the
coming year.
